Launched in 2001, Warp Films leads the way in exciting and original British Filmmaking. The company has been behind an array of critically acclaimed and award winning films, including several BAFTAs. Warp Film productions include Rubber Johnny, Dead Man's Shoes, This Is England, Donkey Punch, A Complete History of My Sexual Failures and Four Lions.

The distribution label will be DVD driven, although it aims for most films to have a theatrical life. Using in-house films, it will sub-distribute to companies in other European markets as its sister company does with music.

Convergence changing media audiences

Convergence is the way that technology is being used in different ways. Media convergence happens when media industries distribute across several different media types such as, newspaper that you can see online and using the internet on your phone.

Convergence is changing the way media audiences view things such as movies through renting, streaming online, box office and more. This can be seen as bad because it changes the way audiences can view movies and other types of media which means they could become lazy and not attend premiers at cinemas.
